Bringing back memories of the posters of yesteryear which merrily stated that “Guinness is good for you” – recent articles have suggested that whisky is in fact good for you. Of course, WU encourages anyone to enjoy drinking whisky – and to enjoy it responsibly – but we were recently provided with a list of 10 reasons as to why being a whisky drinker is good for you… or at least better than other drinks.
Reasons for the health benefits apparently include: help with weight loss, improvement of brain activity and actively preventing causes of cancer and strokes. Of course, this must all be taken with a (figurative) pinch of salt, but it certainly makes us feel even better about enjoying the odd wee dram and adds a (literal) bonus to wishing people good health when saying sláinte!

Well it’s all true… Can’t believe there are still people who are teetotalers. It’s a scientific fact that moderate drinking is healthy and even heavy drinkers outlive them!
